Still smells like the beach around here.

My relaxing evening is gone to shreds as my neighbors, young couple, early 20's are having a huge fight. Next thing I hear is that she is screaming hysterically, all these cars in the drive way... and the COPS .
Bad Boys, Bad Boys....They came!!!
Apparently Ohio has an awesome law where in a domestic dispute the woman does not have to press charges, yet the cops make the call. I applaud that.
So they took my little punkass neighbor away, drunk, dilated pupils and all.
What did the girl do? She begged the police not to throw him in jail... It was unbelievable to witness it all...A bunch of her friends apparently came to help her move out earlier , and things hit the fan, with him going violent. SO there were a lot of people, commotion...

And I cracked opened a Lite Beer and, along with the rest of neighborhood , watched the show from my balcony (the arrest and all).
You know me, I love drama, ,, afterwards we all went outside and recapped the facts.

You know on TV, how you see the neighbors on the street behind the TV cam- That was me tonight!
Just kidding....

Trying to shed some life on the misery of residency...which is not here for me yet, but my two new friends are on call tonight and they are hating it. I am just dreading!!!

I am on Rheumatology, working with a World expert on Scleroderma, who devises his own ways to diagnose and measure things. Fun and humble man, but casually asks me to recap the Vitamin D metabolism yesterday... and I said to him " Are you kidding me??"
My friends say that I drop the "Mayo" bomb on people, and that then they always shut up... but their expectations are sky high. Some people ask me about "my opinion"..hahahhaha...And all I want to do is sleep.

The Awesome newS::::Nikola passed his Life Insurance exam today, he starts work tomorrow. GOOD LUCK, srce!!!!!

My baby sister Marija, was accepted in International Studies graduate programs in Madrid and Valencia starting this fall. Hey, we all have a place to stay when in Spain now.
And she is way cooler than me!!!

Recommendations:
1. More than 2/3 people we check at my Rheumatology clinic are Vitamin D deficient...We are all afraid of the sun, so our Vitamin D levels get low... but muscle and joint aches and pains ease up after some Vitamin D supplementation. ((For all of you runners. And for me, tired of being on my legs all day!))
2. On that note, Flintstones Sour Gummies Vitamins are delicious *

Cleveland Rocks

As we chill on this beautiful summer night, I am yearning to get out of the house. Mango sorbe, my Haagen Dazs guilty pleasure soothes the soul... Mmmmm...
My new neigborhood "pet skunks", Pepo and Pepa--, named by Nikola so I am not afraid of them, are roaming the streets and we can all tell-- it stinks.
But, the smell of the Great Lake makes me feel like I am on vacation....
You guys: I love Cleveland. I love the CCF ! I looooove Dermatology!!!
I almost feel guilty reading Tara, Lesley and Katies's blogs... I know that my lovely 7 months on call, Internal Medicine nonetheless + surgery are ahead of me, but for now... I am enjoying every minute of Dermatology.
Cleveland is awesome!!!
For the past month I had met more people, went out more, had more people visit my house than for the entire last year at Rochester.
Some people may miss MN: my confession, NOT AT ALLL!!!
I miss my friends... and career wise, I shall always compare everything to the Mayo order, opulence and smoothness of ways...but, I shall survive here too, and the CCF is not too shabby... actually not at all.

I have discovered the beauty of Pharmaceutical dinners, and my social life revolves around them. Poshy restaurants, beautiful people, great meals, drinks to get conversations flowing ,... and free goodies- Did I say that I love it!

Do you know that a minute walk from my house is a bar that has $5 chicken wings +beer???
I can live here forever.
My sister left for Spain today... She will chill there for the next month. Tough life!!!

And wear a suncreen.
And get an acid peel- makes the skin glow!
